We are so glad you are here. It is our heart’s desire to serve you and bring the Life of Christ to you through the prophetic word and prophetic teaching.
Prophecy and the prophetic ministry is a life giving source that the Lord has raised up and should be utilized and appreciated in the local church. In 1 Thes 5:20 we read, “...do not DESPISE prophecy...” which tell us that there were those then, in the early church, who disliked this gift and ministry. To prevent us ‘despising’ prophecy today it is of paramount importance that we be taught the correct Biblical understanding of these things.
Spend some time with us. Our website is going through tremendous changes and it is truly our heart’s desire to offer a website that is as life-giving as the prophetic word. So, visit us often, things are always changing, with new updates and teachings available on a regular basis.
Romans 14:17-18 “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.”
The Kingdom of God, people often wonder what that is. A kingdom is a place that is ruled by a king and the kingdom of God is not just eating, or drinking, or the things that we need right now, or our natural needs but the writer of Romans describes it as righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. You can’t get it without the Holy Spirit. You need to have peace and joy. The righteousness that he is talking about is not the freedom from sin or the freedom from faults but rather walking boldly in the righteousness given to us. It is a free gift from the Lord. What an amazing gift. We have imparted righteousness from Christ, though we then decide, because we love Him to have the imputed righteousness which is that which comes from an act of obedience, following Him and desiring to walk in that same righteousness. It is deciding to do what is right before Him in every way.
We walk in this righteousness in the Kingdom of God and in His peace and the joy in the Holy Spirit. God wants you to be full of joy and full of peace and to enjoy His righteousness and to walk in a way that is right and pleasing before the Lord. This is God’s Kingdom and so we want to walk in His Kingdom. We want to be exactly those things. So, let us today make an effort to do what is right, to envelope or embrace the peace of God and to not allow the enemy to take or to steal any joy. The Bible says that “no one can take away your joy” (John 16:22)
John 14:27 Jesus said “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Jesus is teaching His disciples and followers and He talks about peace. In this world today, peace seems to be one of the things that is being pursued by governments, by every conceivable educated person that tries to seek peace between different nations, different cultures and differences of every sort in the world. There is peace that the world can render but the peace of God, which passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7) comes from God and God alone. Jesus said, “I give you My peace.” He said, “not as the world gives” but My peace.
I encourage you this morning to open your spirit and accept the peace. No matter what the things are that surround you. Peace is not dependent upon things around you, but peace comes from within. No matter what your circumstances are, they cannot affect the peace that comes from God. It is your birthright, having been born-again, to walk and to live in peace.
He says, “do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” So often we get afraid about bad news or we get troubled about things that concern us. The economy or someone that we love is in trouble. But we ought to walk in this peace, that the Lord will work it out and we commit these things to Him in prayer. Once we have cast these cares on Him (Psalms 55:22) then we know that we can walk in His perfect peace which is what was destined for us from the very beginning. He gave it to us. Let us take it.
Verse 5 “but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness”. It has always amazed me how it was the Abraham was righteous in God’s sight just because he believed what God said. In the old religious format in our minds we believe that we are righteous when we are sinless or abstain from things. That God almost applauds us or works us towards that end. However, it seems that God is more thrilled by our faith in Him. Trusting Him without knowing or seeing or having any kind of natural reassurance or visible things that we can see. Here it says in Romans 4 that there is no work to being justified or credited but really the faith is counted to us as righteousness. He even refers to David as a man that is blessed because his sins are covered, who trusts in the Lord.
I encourage you today to put your faith in the living God whom you don’t see naturally and trust in Him that you may be righteous and know that you are righteous because of the completed work of Christ. I will always be thankful. Every day of my life I wake up with a deep gratitude for this completed work of Calvary. For those who ever watched the movie “The Passion” and saw the bloody, consistent, horrific violence with which Jesus was inflicted. It is such a grievous thing for me that I can’t even stand to watch it but at the same time, I would hate to waste one single ounce of His suffering or blood so I take every bit of it and apply it to my life and receive it. Rather than waste it. It was a tragic thing that He had to die for our sins but let’s enjoy and have confidence in Him. That not only has He forgiven us, He has also delivered us and blessed us with good things in heavenly places.
